Work on Bridge Street Powerhouse Square expected to begin soon

GREAT BARRINGTON — Work on the Bridge Street Powerhouse Square project could begin as early as this month.

“A big thing for the upcoming year is Bridge Street, and Powerhouse Square site work will start in December,” Town Manager Jennifer Tabakin said during the town manager’s report at the Nov. 27 select board meeting.

The work will begin with asbestos removal at the site of the Laramee Cleaners building, with the demolition of the building expected to take place in January.
