Wildcats shut out Spartans

After last week’s loss to Amherst, Lee Wildcat coach Keith Thomson said his team would treat the game as they would a win, thinking about it for a night and then moving forward. Friday night, Lee continued to move forward and Monument Mountain provided them with little to no resistance in doing so.
The Wildcats capped their regular season with a 45-0 drubbing of the Spartans at home, gliding their way into November with no added stress.
Heading into the final week of the season, Lee led in the race for the top seed in Western Massachusetts Division 8 postseason bracket, but due to the way the MIAA sets up its postseason, there was no guarantee they would stay there.

Garrett Hopkins holds the ball over his head after scoring a defensive touchdown.
