Spartans fend off Millionaires

GREAT BARRINGTON – A two run home run by Nate Cormier in the bottom of the
sixth broke a 5-5 tie, spurring the Monument Mountain Spartans (3-2) to a 10 – 5 victory over the Lenox Millionaires (1-5).

The Spartans responded in every inning that the Millionaires scored putting up a crooked number in the third and sixth innings.

“They aren’t going to quit and we aren’t going to let them quit and they’ve been working hard and the bats finally came around,” said Spartans head coach Tom Hankey…Pick-up this week’s Record for more on this story.
