Small band of Barrington protestors encourage impreachment of Trump

GREAT BARRINGTON — A small group assembled in front of the Town Hall in an effort to bring attention to and encourage the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

The local protest was part of a larger nationwide effort launched by public policy advocacy groups MoveOn and By the People and several other partner organizations that have called for an inquiry into impeachment, said Vanessa Gang, a resident of Mount Washington.

The Great Barrington gathering was one of more than 140 other protests, which included events in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami and Detroit, according to MoveOn’s website.

For Gang, a member of the Berkshire Women’s Action Group, participation in the gathering was necessary to generate conversation about impeachment on a local scale.
