SHEFFIELD — The acquisition of 200 prime acres in Sheffield has laid the roots for a multi-generational farm that’s protected for years to come.

Morven Allen, a dairy farmer in Sheffield who produces organic milk, purchased the farmland, located at 663 Hulett Hill Road, from Warren Wilcox. Details of the recent sale were not disclosed.

As the operator of the farm for the last 50 years, Wilcox always had his one condition to the deal.

“I never wanted to see the farm developed or turned into a housing development,” Wilcox said.
