Raucous airport hearing ends in continuation, again

GREAT BARRINGTON – “Where we at?” Select Board Chairman Sean Stanton asked at the Walter J. Koladza airport hearing June 12. He received no answer from his fellow selectmen.

A short answer, however, was obvious: nowhere fast.

“Definitely assume we’re not voting on this tonight,” Stanton later said. “… So far we’re not getting this done.”

Over the course of a two-hour meeting that aimed to progress – if not finalize – the airport’s special permit application, nothing, essentially, was accomplished.

“We’re not solving the world’s problems tonight, or this one,” Selectman Stephen Bannon said.
