GREAT BARRINGTON – Elizabeth Keen has been a farmer for a long time.
She has tended to and worked the lands of Indian Line Farm in South Egremont for 20 seasons now. She has cultivated carrots and grown garlic. She has produced peas and has raised radishes.
And the whole time, she said, she wanted her products to be affordable – “accessible to anyone,” as she described it.
“That’s my personal belief,” Keen said while working her stall at the town’s Saturday farmers market. “It should be accessible.”
So in April, Keen signed up for the Healthy Incentives Program.
