New Monument Mountain boys’ basketball head coach Randy Koldys is no stranger to the Spartans program, but there has been a slight re-introduction period.
Koldys coached the Spartans from 1994 to 2010, then stepped aside after 17 patrolling the sidelines.
Despite no longer leading Monument, his appreciation for the game never waned.
“My passion for basketball has never, ever changed,” Koldys said. “I love basketball.”
In the meantime, Koldys has assisted in running Prime Time Hoop Camp alongside Rick Ramsay over the summer in Great Barrington, keeping his connection with the youth basketball community in South County.
