PITTSFIELD — An appellate court ruling on Attorney General Maura Healey’s injunction brought another turn in what protestors have described as an emotional rollercoaster.
While the injunction has halted the auction until Dec. 11, the Museum’s legal team has filed a six page brief with the Superior Court asking for an expedited trial to reach a final judgment on the matter. Healey can move to extend that injunction, though at this point is too early to tell what will happen with the museum’s Tuesday filing.
On Nov. 10, Healey’s request with the Massachusetts Appeals Court for an injunction against the proposed sale of forty works from the Berkshire Museum’s collection was approved.
