The Town of Mount Washington invites sealed bids from contractors for the “East and West Street Paving FY 2020” Mount Washington Road Improvements.
A Bid Package for this project will be available on the main page of the Town website at: www.townofmtwashington.com beginning November 8, 2019. Only those contractors who have been qualified and approved (or can be) by the MassDOT will be allowed to receive Bid Proposal Packages.
Sealed Bids are due at the Mount Washington Town Hall by 12PM on November 27, 2019 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked “East and West Street Paving FY 2020”. The Select Board is the awarding authority and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities or irregularities in any bid, to make an award in any manner consistent with the law and deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Mount Washington.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TAX CLASSIFICATION
The Town of Egremont, Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors, will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the Egremont Town Hall to determine the tax classification for the Fiscal Year 2020. All interested parties are invited to attend. The public is welcome to attend and written comments will be accepted.
Pursuant to 33 U.S.C. 1341 and M.G.L. c. 21 § § 26-53, notice is given of a 401 Water Quality Certification application for the replacement of Bridge N-08-006, Campbell Falls Road over Whiting River in the Town of New Marlborough, Massachusetts by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation — Highway Division (MassDOT), Ten Park Plaza, Boston, Massachusetts 02116. This project will involve replacing the bridge superstructure. Additional information may be obtained from MassDOT at the above address, attention Susan McArthur, (857) 368-8807. Written comments should be sent to MassDEP — Division of Wetlands and Waterways, Chris Ross, Southeast Regional Office, 20 Riverside Drive, Lakeville, MA 02347, within twenty-one days of this notice.
Any group of ten persons, any aggrieved person, or any government body or private organization with a mandate to protect the environment who submits written comments may appeal the Department’s Certification. Failure to submit written comments before the end of the public comment period may result in the waiver of any rights to an adjudicatory hearing.

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 7:00PM, at the Egremont Town Hall, 171 Egremont Plain Road, Egremont, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider the application of Sara Keene, 17 Main Street, South Egremont, to amend the special permit issued to The Barn at the Egremont Village Inn to allow for a New Years Eve party on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
