SAMI (Asphalt-Rubber Surface Treatment)

The Town of New Marlborough, acting through the Board of Selectmen, will accept sealed bids for stress absorbing membrane interlayer (SAMI) asphalt-rubber surface treatment of Clayton Mill River Road in New Marlborough. It is estimated that the project will take approximately 30,780.44 square yards of rubber chip seal. All materials and workmanship are to meet the latest MassDOT specifications. This contract contains a price adjustment provision for liquid asphalt mixtures. Price adjustments will be in accordance with MassDOT special provisions for price adjustments for liquid asphalt and will be determined at the bid opening. Bid packages will be available at the New Marlborough Town Hall starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Monday​-Friday from 9:00 am​ 3:00 p.m.; by calling (413)229-8116; or by emailing a request to sfleck@newmarlboroughma.gov. Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, 4/1/20, at the New Marlborough Town Hall, 807 Mill River Southfield Road, PO Box 99, Mill River, MA 01244, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Absolutely no bids will be accepted after that time. Envelopes shall be clearly labeled SAMI (Asphalt-Rubber Surface Treatment).
