GREAT BARRINGTON — Berkshire Hills Regional School District budget meetings are under way, and Superintendent Peter Dillon is proposing significant changes to the faculty.
The school district currently employs a special education evaluation team leader to oversee students with ISPs for grades 5 through 12. The new plan, which Dillon hopes to be implemented by next fiscal year starting July 1, would see one evaluation team leader oversee pre-K through grade 6 and another for grades 5 through 12.
The goals set for this position as laid out in the job description are, “To support the special education teachers in completing academic achievement” which will be anything from scheduling and facilitating meetings to writing and reviewing data-based IEPs.
