Public notice is hereby given of the Chapter 91 Waterways Simplified License Application by Robert and Debra Gottlieb to construct and maintain a dock Accessory to a Residential Use on the parcel of land known as Assessor’s Map 107, Lot 35, off of 3 Carl’s Lane, in the municipality of Monterey, in and over the waters of Lake Garfield, a Commonwealth-designated Great Pond. The proposed project has been determined to be water-dependent.
The Department may conduct a public hearing in order to receive information to be used in its decision on whether to grant a Waterways License pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 91.
The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways Simplified License Application received by close-of-business on Monday, May 14, 2018, the Public Comments Deadline. Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more to submit written comments to the Waterways Program by the Public Comments Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c).

GREAT BARRINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION
The Great Barrington Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 6:30 PM at the Great Barrington Town Hall, 334 Main Street, to act on a Request for Determination of Applicability submitted by the Great Barrington Fire Department for setting and managing a controlled burn in a former educational building for training purposes at 84 Alford Road; Map 32 Lot 79. This determination will be conducted in accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Chapter 131, Section 40 and the Great Barrington Wetlands Bylaw and Regulations, Chapter 168 and Chapter 217 Article III.

INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Town of Sheffield, acting through its Board of Selectmen, invites sealed bids from individuals, companies or municipalities interested in purchasing the following surplus generators:
Two (2) MEP-805A Diesel Engine 30KW 50/60HZ Tactile Quiet Generator. One (1) for Parts Only.
The generators will be sold as a package, with a $500.00 minimum bid. The generators may be viewed by contacting either Highway Superintendent Edward Pickert at 413 229-7030 or Town Administrator Rhonda LaBombard at 413 229-7000, Ext. 152. Sealed proposals which are clearly marked “Generator Bid” will be received at the Office of the Board of Selectmen, Town Hall, 21 Depot Square, P.O. Box 325, Sheffield, MA 01257 until 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 4, 2018 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Board of Selectmen shall award the sale to the highest qualified bidder for both generators which will be sold “As Is, Where Is”. All bids must be on forms available at the Board of Selectmen’s office between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Town of Sheffield makes no representation regarding the suitability of the items for any purpose nor does the Town of Sheffield make any representation regarding any lien or legal impediment accruing to the generators. The successful bidder will be responsible for removal and all transportation of said surplus generators from their location on Town premises within two weeks of the bid award date. The Town assumes no responsibility for the condition of the generators either before the sale or thereafter. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities or irregularities in any bid and to make an award in any manner consistent with the law and deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Sheffield.
