SVNA Home Assistance, the private duty arm of Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association has opened an additional location in Sheffield. SVNA Home Assistance has provided non-medical homecare to residents of Northwestern Connecticut since 2012. And on Dec. 1, it crossed the state line and opened its doors in Southern Berkshire County.
SVNA Home Assistance is a registered, bonded and insured home care company that provides caregivers who are carefully screened (including background screens and drug testing) home care specialists who are also insured and bonded as well as trained on a continual basis so that family members feel confident that their loved one is safe and receiving quality care.
After receiving numerous requests for services just over the state line, SVNA Home Assistance Director Meghan Plouffe decided it was time for action, she approached the Board and got the ball rolling to open an office in Sheffield, which will serve the towns of Sheffield, Ashley Falls, New Marlborough, Egremont, Great Barrington and Stockbridge.
