STOCKBRIDGE — Apparently retirement didn’t suit Mark Webber, who recently retired as the West Stockbridge town administrator. He’s considering coming out of retirement to apply for a similar position in neighboring Stockbridge. And the select board here already had him in mind.
And now that former Stockbridge town administrator Danielle Fillio officially vacated her seat Wednesday to become the town manager in Richmond, the Stockbridge Select Board has expedited its search for an interim town administrator, and Webber’s name came up.
The board decided last week to invite Webber to their July 18 meeting. Board chairman Terry Flynn said Webber reached out to him to express interest in the interim position. The board hopes to vote to appoint him or any other candidate that is brought forward by Monday, July 22, said Flynn.
