SHEFFIELD — In an attempt to improve communication surrounding a potential school district merger, a Southern Berkshire subcommittee has suggested that a public forum be held for parents, teachers and community members who wish to learn more about the consolidation process.

At Southern Berkshire Regional School District’s Community Outreach and Input Subcommittee meeting, held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, communication within and directed at the school district was noted as an area of concern by Bonnie Silvers, subcommittee chair.

Silvers said that the school committee would provide a written statement about the line of communication with the public as well as holding a question-and-answer forum dealing with possible district consolidation.
