SHEFFIELD — Sisters Kari Giordano and Stephanie Graham, both art teachers at Mount Everett Regional High School, are known for pushing each other to succeed, said Mount Everett principal Glenn Devoti.

Now they’ll share one of the most prestigious distinctions a teacher can receive.

Between the two, Graham has always been the more adventurous one, but it was Giordano who began applying for the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching program first.

Graham and Giordano are two of 26 teachers in the country who received the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Semester Research Program grant from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
