MILL RIVER — A public hearing last month for a 68-acre solar development here left too many questions unanswered, some residents say.

They had hoped those questions would be resolved at a second hearing on this past Monday, but after the company proposing the development asked for an extension to gather more information, the hearing has tentatively been pushed back to April 25.

Competitive Power Ventures (CPV), a Maryland-based power generation development and asset management company, presented its plan to erect 15,000 solar panels on two separate areas at 100 Hartsville Mill River Rd.

If approved, tthe northern part of the site will be located in a former gravel mining area, and the southern part of the site in a wooded area.
