The Town of Lee Department of Public Works is requesting cost related to Contracted Emergency Work as needed, this would include rental prices on various pieces of Equipment and manpower for emergency work throughout the Town for the period of April 15 2019 to April 15, 2020.

TOWN OF SHEFFIELD
INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Town of Sheffield is seeking bids for replacing the roof and re-staining the siding of the Covered Bridge. Bid prices shall include all labor, equipment, and material for a complete project.
All work is to be completed by October 30, 2019.
Bid Documents and Specifications are available from the Board of Selectmen’s office (413) 229-7000, Ext. 152, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bids in sealed, opaque envelopes shall be marked “Covered Bridge Repairs” and delivered to the Board of Selectmen’s Office, Town Hall, at 21 Depot Sq., in Sheffield, by April 16 at 2 p.m., at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Awarding Authority is the Board of Selectmen. Estimated cost of the project is $150,000.
Each general bid shall be accompanied by a security or bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid price. The successful bidder must furnish a 100 percent performance bond and 100 percent payment bond. The minority employee percentage rate to be applied to this project will not be less than 5 percent in each class.
Wage rates are subject to the minimum wage rate as per M.G.L. Chapter 149 Section 26 to 27F, inclusive. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 30 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, after the actual date of opening of the bids.
The Town of Sheffield reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor informalities or irregularities in any bid, and to make an award in any manner consistent with the law and deemed to be in the best interests of the Town.
