Invitation for Bid

The Town of Egremont, Massachusetts is seeking bids for interior and exterior ADA improvements at the South Egremont
Village School,
listed on the State Register of Historic Places.

     Bids shall be submitted to Mary Brazie, Office Administrator,
Town of Egremont,

Thursday, April 4, 2019, and will be publicly opened and read at that time.
Sealed envelopes shall be clearly marked “Bid for South Egremont Village School
ADA Improvements.”

     There will be a
mandatory pre-bid site walk at the project site, 42 Main Street, South
Egremont, on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 3 PM. Questions from potential bidders
shall be submitted in writing either via email or mail to Mary Brazie, Office
Administrator, at the address listed above, or to tegremont@egremont- ma.gov.

     State Law
prohibits discrimination. The selection of the contractor shall be made without
regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, political affiliation, or national
origin. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any
informalities, to advertise for new bids, and to award one or more contracts,
wholly or in part, as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The
Board of Selectmen shall be the awarding authority.

 The successful
bidder will provide insurance as stated in the Owner-Contractor Agreement. A
certificate of insurance evidencing the required insurance shall be submitted
to the Town prior to the commencement of work and shall remain in force during
the term of the contract.

Notice of a Public Hearing

In accordance with the requirements of Massachusetts
General Law Chapter 40A and the Sandisfield Zoning Bylaws, the Sandisfield
Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 7
p.m. at the Town Hall Annex, 66 Sandisfield Rd., Sandisfield, MA, on the
application of Karen and Jed Garfield for zoning relief in the form of a
special permit in accordance with Section 9 of the Sandisfield Zoning Bylaws,
codified as Chapter IX of the Sandisfield Bylaws, as follows:

under Section 5.B of the Zoning bylaws to allow the construction of a two car
