STOCKBRIDGE — Shared voices of local Christian and Jewish chorus groups will come together to call awareness to immigration issues in the Berkshires in a joint interfaith concert.
The B’Shalom Chorale of the Berkshires and the Berkshire Lyric Chamber Chorus, both to be led by Jack Brown, will perform sacred choral music at the Stockbridge Congregational Church at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night.
Michelle Lopez, director of the Berkshire Immigrant Center (BIC) will also speak about the work her organization does to assist immigrant families and individuals.
Brown’s summer choral group, named “Ubi Caritas,” has been performing sacred choral music for the past eight summers, and will be part of the first-of-its-kind interfaith concert held in Stockbridge. When translated from Latin, the group’s name means “where charity and love are.”
