Lenox takes first steps for more enjoyable town

LENOX— The town’s historic village may, in time, be getting a face lift, but right now the aim of the Village Improvement Plan is to make the village a safer, more enjoyable pedestrian environment. Aug. 12 marked the first community meeting on the subject, an effort to present ideas and generate feedback. Walter Cudnohufsky, an Ashfield-based landscape architect and community planner, said the plan will begin as a lighting and sidewalk improvement project, but will eventually evolve into a more comprehensive plan. full story
