Entering Thursday night, the Mt. Everett Eagles needed just one win to guarantee themselves a spot in the Western Mass. Division IV tournament for the second straight season. They left North Adams with

The Eagles swept the Drury Blue Devils, winning the first game by mercy rule 16-1, then cruising to a 4-0 victory in the second game to head back down Route 7 with visions of the postseason in their heads.

Top priority for the Eagles was making sure they secured at least one win over the Blue Devils, ensuring a spot at the dance. Thanks to a big second inning, that question was answered rather early.
