Danielle Fillio named town administrator in Richmond

(Emily Thurlow) Danielle Fillio has recently accepted an offer for the role of town administrator for the Town of Richmond.

RICHMOND — The select board has named a new town administrator.

Richmond select board members unanimously voted in favor of offering Danielle Fillio, the town Administrator for Stockbridge, the position during their last meeting on July 2. And Fillio has accepted that offer.

“I’m very excited about it,” she said.

The position became available after Mark Pruhenski accepted the position of town manager for Great Barrington. Pruhenski notified members of the select board early on after being named a finalist for the Great Barrington post, said Neal Pilson, Richmond select board member.

Pruhenski left the Richmond position on May 31 and was replaced by interim town administrator, Bob Markel. Since retiring from full-time role as town manager for Ipswich in 2011,
