Community outpouring for Khali shown in prayers, 900 bracelets

LEE — From one coast of the world to the
other, support continues to pour in for Khali Zabian.

As the 19-year-old Lee woman recovers at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after being struck by a car earlier this month, people near and far have reached out to offer support for the youth and her family.

Khali has since opened her eyes after being in a coma and suffered multiple broken bones and undergone surgeries to deal with bleeding on her brain.

Each day, her mother, Lisa Zabian, has provided updates via Facebook to share and celebrate Khali’s progress, offer thanks and gratitude, and encourage prayers for her daughter.

Lisa also requests prayers for others she has met along the way.

“… Thank you all for your wonderful cards, messages and prayers. I don’t think we could be getting through this without all of your love,” she writes on a recent post. “Please keep praying and loving on each other. There are a lot of people really struggling out there. Love you all!”
