To all persons interested in the above captioned estate, a petition for formal probate of Will with appointment of Personal Representative has been filed by Stephanie D. Brown of West Granby, CT requesting that the Court enter a formal Decree and Order and such other relief as requested in the Petition. And also requesting that Stephanie D. Brown of West Granby, CT be appointed as Personal Representative of said estate to serve Without Surety on the bond in an unsupervised administration.

You have the right to obtain a copy of the Petition from the Petitioner or at the Court. You have a right to object to this proceeding. The Great Barrington Selectboard will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Town Hall, 334 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA, to act on the special permit application of 26 Manville, LLC, PO Box 628, Great Barrington, for a Water Quality Protection Overlay District Special Permit, in accordance with Sections 9.2 and 10.4 of the Great Barrington Zoning Bylaw, in order to increase impervious area of a lot by more than 15% or 2,500 square feet. Proposed impervious surfaces are in connection with a proposed development of 47 apartments in three new buildings, and associated parking, driveway and site work, at the site comprised of 21 Manville Street, 26 Manville Street, and 28 Manville Street.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 there will be a public hearing at 7:15 P.M. at the Sandisfield Town Hall Annex located at 66 Sandisfield Road (RT.57) held by the Sandisfield Conservation Commission on a Request for Determination filed by Anthony Catalano (203/23), 11 River Road, Sandisfield, Mass., 01255 for the purpose of framing in a foundation and some gravel for a parking area. The purpose of the RDA is to determine if the above project is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 131, Section 40 of the Massachusetts State Laws.

On Thursday October 4th, 2018, SōLitude Lake Management of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts will be conducting an aquatic plant management program at Ashmere Lake, Hinsdale​/​Peru, Massachusetts, weather permitting. (Rain date Monday, October 15th, 2018***)

Ashmere Lake will be closed to recreational activities on October 4th, 2018

The use of the lake will be restricted as follows:

  • Direct Drinking and Cooking-Restricted for 2 days or until October 6th, 2018.
  • Swimming, Boating and Fishing-Restricted until October 5th, 2018.
  • Irrigation-Restricted until October 5th, 2018.
  • Livestock Watering-Restricted until October 5th, 2018. ***Please note If the treatment takes place on October 15th, 2018
  • Direct Drinking and Cooking-Restricted for 2 days or until October 17th, 2018.
  • Swimming, Boating and Fishing-Restricted until October 16th, 2018.
  • Irrigation-Restricted until October 16th, 2018.
