TAX CLASSIFICATION HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Great Barrington Selectboard and the Great Barrington Fire District Prudential Committee will hold a joint Tax Classification Hearing to determine their respective FY 2019 property tax rates. The hearing will be held Monday, August 27, 2018 at 7:15 PM in the Selectboard Meeting Room at Town Hall, 334 Main Street, Great Barrington. The hearing will be followed by a vote of the Selectboard and the Prudential Committee.

Notice of Public Hearing

The Planning Board for the Town of Otis will hold a public hearing for a Site Plan Review on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Town Offices, 1 North Main Road, Otis, MA. The Site Plan Review has been requested by the Zoning Enforcement Officer under section 9.4 of the Zoning Bylaws of the Town of Otis for HR Farm, LLC for the purpose of constructing accessory buildings for an existing business. This site is located at 1792 East Otis Road, Map 16, Lot 44.

SoLitude Lake Management, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts will be conducting an aquatic plant management program at Prospect Lake, Egremont, Massachusetts.
The use of the lake’s water will be restricted as follows:
•Swimming, boating and fishing-Until August 7, 2018
•Livestock watering- ​​ Restricted for 1 day or until August 8, 2018
•Direct drinking-Restricted for 3 days or until August 10, 2018
•Irrigation-Restricted for 5 days or until August 12, 2018

REQUEST FOR BIDS
ALUMINUM RESCUE VEHICLE ON A FORD F-550 CHASSIS

The Town of Egremont is seeking bids for the purchase of a new aluminum rescue vehicle on a Ford F-550 Chassis. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Bid on New Fire Apparatus” no later than 1pm on Friday, August 31, 2018. An electronic version of the specifications may be obtained by emailing tegremont@egremont-ma.gov or by calling Town Hall at 413-528-0182 ext 10. Specifications are posted on the town’s web page at www.egremont-ma.gov. A printed copy may be obtained by sending a written request to the Chief Procurement Officer, Mary Brazie, P.O. Box 368, South Egremont MA 01258 with the fee of $25.00. Bids will be opened at the above date and time and then reviewed by the Select Board and the Fire Apparatus committee and an award made within 30 days of the opening. Please send proposals to the Chief Procurement Officer at P.O. Box 368, South Egremont MA 01258. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

TOWN OF GREAT BARRINGTON
NOTICE

The Great Barrington Community Preservation Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Fire Station, 37 State Road, Great Barrington, to take public comments on its Community Preservation Plan, prepared pursuant to Mass. Gen. Law Ch. 44B, to guide the implementation of the Community Preservation Act (CPA) in Great Barrington. The Plan summarizes the open space and recreation, affordable housing, and historic preservation needs and priorities of the Town; and, guides applicants seeking CPA funds.
Copies of the plan are available in the Town libraries, the Town Clerk’s office, and may be downloaded from the CPC page of the Town’s website: http:​/​​/​www.townofgb.org​/​Pages​/​GBarringtonMA_CPC​/​index. Written comments will also be accepted in the Town Clerk’s office until 3:00 PM on the day of the public hearing.

Town of Sheffield
Notice of Public Hearing

The Sheffield Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., 1st floor meeting room, Town Hall, 21 Depot Square, regarding a Request for Determination of Applicability, filed by Christ Church Parish of Sheffield Episcopal Church for property on the Corner of Rt. 7 and Maple Avenue, Sheffield, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 131, sec. 40. The purpose of the hearing is to gather information regarding the proposed project: Treatment of Japanese knotweed.
The intention of the applicant will be discussed in compliance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.

Notice of Public Hearing

The Sheffield Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., 1st floor meeting room, Town Hall, 21 Depot Square, regarding a Notice of Intent Application, filed by Scott and Amy Margolis for property at 1296 Ashley Falls Road in Sheffield, in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 131, sec. 40. The proposed project is the construction of a screen porch, relocation of a propane tank, removal of thirteen mature trees and the planting of fourteen native shrubs. Portions of the work are located within bank, riverfront area and bordering land subject to flooding.
