Third, fourth marijuana retailer begin applications for Great Barrington

GREAT BARRINGTON — Four applicants have now taken steps toward opening marijuana retail establishments in town.

This has a member of the town’s “Cannabis Team” seeking to create a clearer process for applicants — and asking if it’s time to consider setting a limit on how many retailers should be allowed in town.

Entrepreneurs planning to operate under the name “High Minded” met with town officials on Monday, received a template host community agreement and asked to be listed on the Select Board agenda in early July, according to Select Board Vice Chair Ed Abrahams, who has served as town leadership’s point person on marijuana through the so-called “Cannabis Team.”
