The Town of New Marlborough, acting through its Board of Selectmen as the Special Permit Granting Authority, will hold a Special Permit Hearing on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, 807 Mill River Southfield Road, Mill River, MA 01244; then and there to act upon the application by CVE North America, Inc. 116 W 23rd Street (5th Floor), New York, New York 10011 under Section 3.4.1.8 of the Protective By-laws for the property located at 1248 Mill River Great Barrington Road, New Marlborough, MA 01230 (Assessors Map 402, Lot 31.2) for the purpose of a 5 MW solar energy facility. The proposed solar array is located on 16.4 acres in the northwest portion of a 114-acre parcel. Access will be from Knight Road and will utilize most of an existing gravel road. A new section of road will be constructed where the existing road extends onto a neighboring parcel.

CONSERVATION COMMISSION
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018 there will be a public hearing at 7:45 P.M. at the Sandisfield Town Hall Annex located at 66 Sandisfield Road (RT.57) held by the Sandisfield Conservation Commission on a Request for Determination filed by Jeff Belmont (24/54) 89 South Main St., Sandisfield, Mass., 01255 for the purpose of removal of grass area and replacing with geotextile cloth and with 1/2 inch stone and bark mulch around the area. The purpose of the RDA is to determine if the above project is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 131, Section 40 of the Massachusetts State Laws.

The Sheffield Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on May 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., 2nd floor meeting room, Town Hall, 21 Depot Square, concerning the application of Southern Berkshire Regional School District for a Variance for relief of Section 6.2.4 (5) of the Town’s Zoning Bylaws to replace the existing sign with a 16 square foot sign, which exceeds the square footage allowed in the Zoning Bylaws for Signs. No construction activities are proposed under this application.
