GREAT BARRINGTON— Louisa Ellis, the women’s clothing boutique on Main Street, will close its doors at the end of April after seven years in business, according to a letter sent by the owner to her customers.
The owner, Melissa Bigarel,wrote that she was grateful to and continuously impressed by the women who shopped at her store: “In today’s hectic and time-crunched world, you always found the time to demonstrate grace and kindness.”
The store sold upscale women’s clothing and offered a stylist service to consult with customers and help guide their choices.
“We blend timeless silhouettes with up-to-date trends, to help you design a look that’s confident and effortless,” the website’s About page says. “We’re your personal style editors, working with you to create a fun and functional wardrobe for every aspect of your busy lifestyle.
