GREAT BARRINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION
The Great Barrington Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Great Barrington Town Hall, 334 Main Street, to act on a Notice of Intent from Berkshire Engineering for Butternut Basin, Inc. at 380 State Road, Map 42 Lot 2. Proposed project includes the continuance of seasonal snow making as conducted in the past, drawing water from two ponds and two wells as currently permitted under the Water Management Act. This public hearing will be held in accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Chapter 131, Section 40 and the Great Barrington Wetlands Protection Bylaw, Chapter 168.

GREAT BARRINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION
The Great Barrington Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Great Barrington Town Hall, 334 Main Street, to act on a Request for Determination of Applicability from Frederick Boehmer on behalf of Jeff Barbuto, property at 37 Lake Buel Road, Map 42 Lot 18C. Proposed work includes demolition and removal of a small old deck and construction of a new larger deck in its place. All work will be within the Buffer Zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland. This public hearing will be held in accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Chapter 131, Section 40 and the Great Barrington Wetlands Bylaw and Regulations, Chapter 168 and Chapter 217 Article III.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Town of Great Barrington, Massachusetts (the “Town”) is seeking proposals from entities to enter into a sublease of the building at 20 Castle Street in downtown Great Barrington. The Town will accept proposals for subletting the first floor garage space, the second floor office space, or partial rental of either floor.
A document setting forth specifications for proposals may be obtained in person or by written request from the office of the Town Manager, Town Hall, 334 Main Street, Great Barrington, Massachusetts, 01230, or emailing apulver@townofgb.org Monday thru Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning November 15, 2017. A site visit will be held on Friday December 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
Completed sealed proposals must be received at the Town Manager’s Office on or before Friday, December 15, 2017 by 2:00 p.m. at which time they will be publicly opened.
The Town of Great Barrington reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to cancel this request for proposal at any time, if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so. The Town also reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and make an award deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Great Barrington.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Separate sealed Bids for the construction of “Southern Berkshire District Court House Flooring Replacement”will be received by the Town at the Town Hall, Town Manager’s Office, 334 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230 until 2:00 PM on November 27, 2017, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “Town of Great Barrington, Southern Berkshire District Court House Flooring Replacement.”
The work consists of the abatement of existing asbestos-containing composite tile and replacement of the flooring for an existing 8,700 square foot brick masonry building that was formerly a school.
All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 44A​—​44J inclusive as amended.
In accordance with Section 44D of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of Massachusetts as amended, the prospective General Bidders must submit with their Bid, a certificate of eligibility issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM), showing that the Bidder has been approved to bid on projects of the size and nature as advertised herein. Prospective General Bidders must also submit an updated statement summarizing their record for the period between the latest DCAM certificate and the date of the Bid submittal. The DCAM certificate of eligibility to be submitted by the General Bidder shall be for the category of work defined as “General Building Construction.”
Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically from the Tighe & Bond website at http:​/​​/​www.tighebond.com​/​Projects_Out_to_Bid.php. Prospective bidders must complete a onetime registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the “planholders” or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. Bidding documents may also be examined at the office of Tighe & Bond, Inc., 53 Southampton Road, Westfield, Massachusetts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, legal holidays excluded.
All Bidders shall furnish with their Bid a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, cash or a certified check, treasurer’ s check or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid and made payable to the Town of Great Barrington. Performance and Payment Bonds, in the full amount of the Contract price, will be required of the Successful Bidder.
No Bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of the opening of Bids. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Southern Berkshire District Courthouse on November 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid which in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so.
