The Town of New Marlborough, acting through the Board of Selectmen, will accept sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide plow trucks with operators for the removal of snow and ice from various Town roads for the 2017-2018 winter plowing season. Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, 11/15/17, at the New Marlborough Town Hall, P.O. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Town of Egremont, Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors, will be holding a public hearing on Monday, November 20, 2017 AT 7PM at the Egremont Town Hall to determine the tax classification for the Fiscal Year 2018. All interested parties are invited to attend. The public is welcome to attend and written comments will be accepted.

SOUTH EGREMONT VILLAGE SCHOOL
INVITATION FOR BID
The Town of Egremont, Massachusetts is seeking bids for the stabilization of the foundation and an alternate bid for accessibility improvements at the South Egremont Village School, listed on the State Register of Historic Places. All work must comply with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The project is partially funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
Bids shall be submitted to Mary Brazie, Office Administrator, Town of Egremont, (P.O. Box 368) 171 Egremont Plain Road, Egremont, MA 01258, no later than 1 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2017, and will be publicly opened and read at that time. Sealed envelopes shall be clearly marked “Bid for South Egremont Village School Stabilization.”
There will be a pre-bid site walk at the project site, 42 Main Street, South Egremont, on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 3:00 PM. Questions from potential bidders shall be submitted in writing either via email or mail to Mary Brazie, Office Administrator, at the address listed above, or to email@example.com. Bid documents are posted on the Town website: http://www.egremont-ma.gov or by request from Lyn Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each bid shall contain the following:
- Completed Bid form
- Signed Certificate of Tax Compliance
- Signed Certificate of Non-Collusion
- Signed Certificate of Authority
- Affidavit of OSHA Compliance
- DCAM certification
Contractors shall be DCAM certified and experienced with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, and shall be able to identify having completed prior comparable work on at least 2 properties during the past five years that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. State Law prohibits discrimination. The selection of the contractor shall be made without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, political affiliation, or national origin. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, to advertise for new bids, and to award one or more contracts, wholly or in part, as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The Board of Selectmen shall be the awarding authority.
The successful bidder will provide insurance as stated in the Owner-Contractor Agreement. A certificate of insurance evidencing the required insurance shall be submitted to the town prior to the commencement of work and shall remain in force during the term of the contract.

The Selectboard will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall, 334 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA to act on the application of 4S Realty LLC/James E. Kimball, Jr. Inc. to amend the existing license for keeping, storage of crude petroleum or any of its products or explosive or inflammable fluids or compounds in accordance with Chapter 148, Sections 9 and 13 of the Massachusetts General Laws at 168 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.

Lee Selectmen to meet on Tax Classifications:
The Board of Selectman will meet Tuesday, November 7, 2017at 7:00 PM in the Lee Town Hall with the Board of Assessors to decide if the fiscal year 2018 tax rate will apply equally to residential, industrial and commercial properties.
In the past years, the tax rate has been the same for each property classification, but the Selectmen determine if the rates should be apportioned differently.
The Assessors will determine the fiscal tax rate after the Selectmen’s decision has been made.
