Great Barrington voters favor incumbents in annual elections

GREAT BARRINGTON – Town residents made their voices heard May 9, re-electing several incumbents and approving a Prop 2 ½ exempting ballot question.

Selectman Ed Abrahams will retain his seat on the Select Board after running unopposed. He received 508 votes – 110 voters left the spot blank, while other voters wrote in a candidate. Abrahams will serve for three more years.

Incumbent Town Moderator Michael Wise also retains his position, after running unopposed, as well. Wise received 520 votes. He will be up for re-election next year, if he so chooses, as his term is annual.
